Primary Structures

Primary Structures was the name of a very famous minimalist art exhibit from 1966, featuring work by some of my favorite artists, including Robert Smithson, Carl Andre, Dan Flavin and The Master.

After thinking about it for a while, I decided to settle on the name “Primary Structures” for this blog (after having borrowed Chris Bowler’s for the interim). Expect more of the same, more or less.

Fun fact: Pineapple Park was nearly named Primary Structures.

Loving Karen Schifano’s installation work. The piece above is titled The Bottom Fell Out. Very playful and clever.
